Refsdal: In 1998, I realized Thaci and Wessel were important

Former war reporter Paul Refsdal has confessed exclusively in Klan Kosova how he shot images during the war in Kosovo.

In an interview with journalist Rina Mujku, he said that in 1998, he understood Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel were important people.

Well, I knew he was important, then I didn't know he was some kind of leader. KLA. At the time, my contact with the leader was with Luli, Kadri Wessel. Then he went to Albania... well, it was somewhere early, I think it was early August. I kept a journal, I wrote with my left hand because my right was injured, so I have some notes I've taken during the days where I have the correct dates, but now I don't remember exactly”, Resdal said.

On the other hand, he has added that he has failed to release the area that was controlled by the KLA, since, according to him, if he were to release that area, he would be arrested by Serbs.

I realized that Kadri Veselin and Hashim Thaci were among the leaders, so I knew they were important, I also met Adam Demac in Licoc. I could not move to Pristina or elsewhere, because if I left the area controlled by the KLA, I would be arrested by Serbs.
