U n NDP: Kosovars unhappy with country's political and economic direction

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has published the opinion poll report conducted in April of this year. According to this report, titled “Pulsi Public”, there is a positive increase in satisfaction with the work of the country's institutions, however, there is no increase in satisfaction for Kosovo's political and economic direction. The survey data highlights a dissonance between the satisfaction of the work of Kosovo institutions and the country's political and economic direction from the same institutions.
Contentment with the work of the prime minister, in November 2022, was 44.95 percent, while contentment with the work of the prime minister reached 51.5 percent in April this year.
The level of satisfaction with President Vjosa Osmani has reached 60.3 percent, compared to 56.8 percent in November last year.
On the other hand, satisfaction with political direction has not marked growth, but has decreased.
23.2 percent of citizens questioned have responded that they are very satisfied with political direction.
In last year's survey, 236 percent of citizens were very pleased with the country's political direction.
The number of those who have expressed dissatisfaction with the country's political direction amounts to 45.60 percent.

The number of unhappy with the country's economic direction has increased to 57.9 percent, while this number was 44.59 percent in the November 2022 survey conducted by the same organization.
Even the number of those who have expressed satisfaction with the economic direction the country is taking has seen a decline. In November 2021, 22.33 percent have been satisfied with the country's economic direction until April 2023, that number has dropped to 17.79 percent.
Contentment with the work of the executive cabinet has reached 45.8 percent compared with November 2022 when it was 41 percent.
Similarly, satisfaction has also increased with the work of the Kosovo Assembly.
“Contentment with the Parliament's work amounted to 46.5 per cent per cent per cent per cent per cent, compared to 39.1 per cent in November 2022, while contentment with the Kosovo Assembly Speaker was 58.3 per cent, compared to 50.8 per cent in November 2022x1>, the report said.
