MP PDK, Mergim Lushtaku today has been interviewed by the prosecution for yesterday's beating at the Kosovo Assembly.

After the interview, his defence lawyer, Faton Fetah, has said Lushtaku has been interviewed in qualities of assault suspects but also of the victim.

He has said he is clearly seen as Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi has first attacked MP Lushtaku, and that he has done all his actions in self-defense.

Mr. Lushtaku was at his workplace as a contrast between Mr. Bislim and other working members. He was attacked at his workplace. MPs have immunity from prosecution, civil indictments for their decisions and actions within their scope as deputy. Under the circumstances of the concrete case his move was like a counter to the scandal that occurred and that Mr. Lushataku did not respond. In the tension they reflected, especially after provoking the situation by Bislimi, who removed the photograph established by MPs. This is the first case of a member of government interfering with the Assembly Hall. A move with immunity, Mr. Lushtaku, a sprinkle of water, has been deemed necessary in the reflection of the tension. This is not an act that violates the physical integrity of the members of the government, but unfortunately, it was not the same and not the mutual response. After he was first attacked and we presented all these elements to the prosecutor”, he said.

Otherwise, during Prime Minister Albin Kurti's speech at the Kosovo Assembly session Thursday, MPs and ministers are involved in physical clashes.

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP in the direction of the Parliament's speech, Mergim Lushtaku has thrown water towards Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi. The last one dropped the bottle towards him. Lushtaku has then pushed the ministers of Hekuran Murati and Albulen Hadziu. This last one has been heard saying “you're normal”.

Meanwhile, Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca has called the police inside the parliament hall.
