Attending the International Symi Symium held in Greece has turned into a kind of tradition for Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Kurt has attended this arrangement for the sixth time.
In fact, to attend the 25th edition of this symposium, Kurt has also ignored the invitation of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who invited him to an informal meeting of leaders of the Western Balkans who were held Monday in Tirana under the Berlin Process, with the argument that his participation in Crete had confirmed several months earlier.
During his four-day stay, Kurti has also met with Emissar of the European Union for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, with whom he has talked about the situation in the north.
Meanwhile, yesterday she met with the Greek parliament MP, simultaneously rapporteur for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, Dora Bakojannis and former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, who is also founder of the SYMI symposium.
“During a working lunch, they exchanged thoughts on intensifying bilateral relations between Kosovo and Greece, recent developments in the region, and Kosovo's application for membership at the Council of Europe”, the prime minister's office announced.
This appears to have been the last meeting the prime minister has held there, since he has returned to Kosovo today.
Shortly after returning to Kosovo, accompanied by Education Minister Arberie Nagavci and Minister Roseta Hajdari, Kurti has been conducting a conversation today with businesses from the Power and Mobile Sector for identifying the necessary educational and professional profiles towards the needs of the labour market.
“He said the Government of the Republic of Kosovo considers that one of the pillars of economic development in the country is the interconnection of education and Professional Training in the labour market. So, as he further explained, it's how to get jobs in our schools to have jobs in our economy, and for that we have the responsibility of the public and private sector”, says the Government's announcement.
