The US envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has started reporting his report to the Foreign Affairs Committee.
He presented the report to the Western Balkans, has talked about the situation in Kosovo and its report with Serbia.
For Escobar, the agreement reached in Ohrid on March 18th between Kosovo and Serbia presents a great opportunity for both sides.
The Ohrid Agreement provides opportunities for both countries to establish a peaceful relationship and open a door towards European integration. The agreement requires recognition of Kosovo from Serbia. Recognition of symbols, diplomas, license plates. Kosovo's agreement calls for implementation of the agreement to establish the Association of Serbian municipalities”, Escobar has indicated, Kosovo reports.
I believe that both countries should engage in this unconditionally. We engage both sides to remind them of their obligations so that we can have apparent progress during this year”.
The measures against Kosovo, Escobar, has said he refuses to call the sanctions, until he mentioned that the only thing the US has not agreed to was sending with the mayors' police to four northern municipalities.
“We will work on implementing the tripoint plan”, he has said speaking of the road ahead, as well as holding new elections in the north.
