Abraham: Kosovo Communist Association has rejected membership application from northern Mitrovica municipality

He has clarified that in addition to the initial request, following the cataract from the northern Mitrovica Municipal Assembly, they have yet to accept any announcement that it has been reviewed by the ministry.

Ibrahim adds that under laws in effect, the Ministry of Management of Local Power must establish the legality of the decision and then submit it to Association.

He is convinced that the ministry will make the positive decision, and that later the Board and the Assembly of Association will consider the application for membership.

We have understood that the northern Mitrovica Municipal Assembly has made the decision, where it has announced membership readiness in the Kosovo Communist Association, but the rules are that every Communist Assembly decision must be sent to the Ministry of Management of Local Power for a review of legitimacy”.

“And now I don't know what happened in this relationship, and we're open, but we've not even officially accepted this official request that he gave the green light and the Ministry, the Association Board will consider the request, then the Parliament will take the decision on this issue, which is that we've officially accepted a request from northern Mitrovica, in addition to the initial requirement indicating readiness for membership in association, and to us that day it has given the answer to what steps to follow the Mitrovica Commission in order to join the member, he said.

I am very convinced that MAPL will have positive answers because procedures are respected in full, but these are the legal rules, and now I'm not even returning MAPL to the municipality I'm hoping they send the application to us and then the Board and Parliament will consider it”.

The Municipal Assembly of northern Mitrovica on 30 June has voted for a union in the Kosovo Communist Association.
