Kosovo police have confirmed that one person has been arrested as suspected of attacking RTK cameraman Bardh Bekteshi.
Police have reported that the suspect is Serb, with the initials U.V.
The current male Serbian suspect U.V., with residence in a village in Leposaviqi municipality, suspected of involvement in an attack on media/journalists”, is said in the report.
Among other things, police say there has been evidence that the suspect is “involved in the attack on media/journalists with June 16th 2023”.
His arrest and association at the police station has been conducted as a result of intensive investigations and obtaining evidence, that the same is involved in the attack on media/journalists on June 16th 2023. All further actions will be undertaken in co-operation and co-ordination with justice organs. ”
