Police kidnapping: Svechla arrives at Jarinje

Earlier, public television reported that Svechla has headed to the border following the kidnapping of three Kosovo police officers by Serbia's police. Kosovo authorities say the police were within Kosovo's territory.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Minister Svechla and other state officials have asked internationals to react.
Kosovo police have said the three border police officers were in a patrol unit, and they have announced they have seen masked and armed persons. When additional police forces arrived, they found only the car.
“Today, at noon by the police unit, which was composed by the three border officials, have announced that at the vicinity of the static point, additional units of the KP have been spotted, with this case in the direction of this point in assistance.
Upon arriving at that location, the assisting units have noticed only the official vehicle, but not only police officials who have been in charge of that location. Other police units have immediately gone towards this location, as have other security institutions, including KFOR, as police officials are suspected to have been kidnapped by Serbian forces”, the police report said.
Meanwhile, images of the kidnapping of three policemen reported as arrests have been published in Serbian media.
