Lajcak has said that the mayors only deal with several administrative issues, but not political ones, since he said they have received no mandate from Serbs for such a thing.
Declination means that mayors of municipalities are withdrawn from their current buildings, primarily in Leposavic. And work from some other environments, like two other heads already do. It means they deal with certain administrative issues, but not political ones. For that they have not received mandate from Serb community voters”, Lajcak has said.
He has also said the EU expects protesters to leave, and to withdraw Kosovo police and KFOR. After that happens, Lajcak says the next step is to discuss the date of new elections and how to reach them.
At the same time, we expect demonstrators, special police and KFOR to withdraw. To have peace, so people can go back to their lives and go back to our work. This is de-progression. Then the next step is to discuss when we will have new elections and how we will achieve them”, Lajcak said.
