The United States envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, today, will hold an online conference with journalists.
This conference is expected to be held by 1500.
Escobar with journalists will talk about recent developments in Kosovo and Serbia.
On Wednesday, Kosovo Police have announced that three of its members have been kidnapped by Serb forces within Kosovo's territory. Police at the press conference also presented a map from the site where police were reportedly kidnapped.
While on the other hand, Serbia is claiming that police officers have been arrested on Serbia's territory, away from the border from Kosovo.
The United States has requested on Thursday the unconditional release of three Kosovo police members detained by Serbian forces. This stance was expressed by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller at the daily press conference.
“We believe that both Kosovo and Serbia should take measures to expand the situation, and that includes the unconditional release of three Kosovo police officers who were recently detained”, he has said.
Miller has also stated that the “both sides must follow the three-point plan that the EU has presented”.
