What problem is the currency bringing two euros to Kosovo?

And, that's exactly this coin, right and wrong, in many cases it's suspected of forging and as such, it's being refused to accept from many trade and maid subjects, in many trade transactions, especially in the retail sale in Kosovo, but also in performing many services, but also by Kosovo citizens, more influenced by the public statements of public utility companies that recently occurred.

In the absence of a more detailed clarification by the Kosovo Central Bank, but also by the police -- around the currency -- already made seriously problematic in our country -- a real amul in the Kosovo market about use, more precisely the admission of the currency 2 euros. Now, on the basis of countless cases of rejection of the currency 2 euros, the impression is that anyone and whoever gets the shots can refuse to accept this coin, declare it false, without any preliminary verification and place it at “siklet” not the small owner of this currency.

The Reporter of the Economic Bulletin, for the same time, happened to see today's unhappyly unpleasant scene, created between a contractor and a traveler. In the contractor's request to get the travel ticket, the traveler offers the required money, but the contractor without a two-free will pay her two euros on the pretext that the coin is forged. The urban traveler, who feels bad about this case, is helped by a person, likely a woman's family member, sitting at her right hand, but also the money of the latter, another coin again 2 euros, the conducator still pays him back without looking at it and conspiring to it as counterfeit money. The contractor today was quite decidatory: They don't get 2 euros because banks aren't accepting us.
These scenes have become frequent since, several months ago, through domestic television, the spokeswoman for the regional water supply company “Pristina” had announced insisting that the company she represents has now decided and every day she will not accept in any way the 2 euro currency for payment from the clientla for the services this company performs.

The next day of this announcement, similar occasions have begun to occur more frequently. In fact, because of the suspicion of putting a large amount of fake metal currency 2 euros into the market, “Pristina Parking”, taking the role of BQK, but also the police, which in December 2022 was declared not to accept this currency anymore. The decision had come into effect sometime before half December 2022 and according to the company's director, Sokol Havolli, the decision was made due to the circulation of the 2 euro fake currency, which according to their estimates “Pristina Parking” could be damaged by up to 50 thousand euros per year.

Local Public Company “Pristina Parking” was supplied with equipment for counterfeit currency detection, after the company decided no longer to accept the metal currency of 2 euros. In December of last year, “Prishtina Parking” signed a contract, worth 1,000 euros, with the insurance company “Pris Sig” for borrowing, for a 12-month period, of three devices for the detection of fake currency. And according to media reports that month (December 2022) Kosovo police have confirmed that between January and November 2022, 707 cases of the money “falsification” have been opened. Police had not specified what is the most forged banknote in the country, nor the amount of counterfeit money that has been confiscated last year, but police have confirmed that this phenomenon was disturbing even in 2021.

Even during all the months of this year, there have been very frequent cases of euro currency circulation, both of banknotes and of coins, separately of the currency, 2 euros. It is enough to take a look at daily police reports in various municipal centres in the country to see numerous cases of the counterfeit currency's 2 euros circulation:

While, on June 8th of this year (2023), it has been transmitted to most of our media reports that there are “seized over 8500 counterfeit euros, three persons arrested in Pristina”, where it is estimated that <x2 police investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes in co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor in Pristina for a period of months, have conducted investigations into some under suspicion of involvement in the criminal work of the pre-profesitation. After collecting evidence and evidence, police today have carried out a police operation, during which three suspects have been arrested: E.H., (Kosovo males, 2003 year of birth), E.H., (Kosovon males, Year of Year 2000) and L.U., (Kosovoish year of birth 2003). Following the arrest as material evidence has been confiscated: 4296 pieces of metal coins from 2 euros (4296X 2=8592 euros), a vehicle and four mobile phones” are said among other things in police announcement.

However, news of counterfeiting the currency 2 euros originated much earlier than this year. Since 2022 and 2021 have been flooding information on this counterfeit coin. A large amount of counterfeit money was found yesterday in Pristina. But a few months ago, either on January 11th or 2021, reports in our media that “An institution has informed police of metal coins allegedly forged. After the release at the scene, police seized 2 grand and 259 coins 2-euros, as well as 84 1-euroshite coins”. As seen by police reports, numerous cases of counterfeit currency production of 2 euros have been disclosed. And these cases, they can be even more than they can be recorded and discovered.

But the question is asked by many, both by opinion and by connoisseurs, who should deal with this problem, which is normally not small and that is deepening day-to-day. In the course of this question, it should simply be clarified whether to deal with the urban construction problem now, the leadership of the local Public Company “Pristina Parking”, Regional Waters “Pristina, or the competent institution that is absolutely the Central Bank of Kosovo, which has never been decidently declared what should be done in these cases. And, among the connoisseurs of circumstances, it becomes very controversial whether the urban conflict law continues to do it, or “Prishtina Parking”, in the absence of a decision, or official action of the CEC, but perhaps even the police. As many cases of retail, arcetet, are already disputed, food oven consumers refuse to receive change in the money of 2 euros for payment change.

And these developments, in some even unpleasant cases, because it's embarrassing to one person (as it happened to the urban traveler), in many cases without any fault of his own, and only with the context's very low profile, they look completely normal. In other words, in the absence of an act, a decision or a more competent announcement, even with more detailed explanations, of subjects obliged to monitor the circulation of counterfeit currency, such as the Central Bank of Kosovo and our police, however, will continue to take place. If there were sufficient explanations of the eventual falsity of this coin and others, as well as of the eventual banknotes, there would be far fewer cases of currency fraud from the concertor, but also from consumer and ordinary citizen.

While, the cases of the regional water-public proclamation “Pristina” and “Park Party” are exclusive and unprecedented in the up-to-date practices of payment transactions not only in our country. To be declared unacceptable to the official currency, an aquifer company is unintelligible and unintelligible in the logic of functioning of a state. These actions and decisions are the creation of parallel financial institutions, such as non-legal and direct mix of competencies. Because, Kosovo has competent legal institutions to declare a currency unacceptable, has the CEC, which would have to react and take over, urgently avoiding anarchy in this area. There's more anarchy than who should be declared unacceptable to his country's official currency. The CQ, it should be wasted no time, to declare how to solve this problem, which there is definitely a solution. It must be declared whether there are devices that would reveal the falsehood of the currency and whether it has to recommend the equipment of local traders and maid companies.

Otherwise, anarchy will continue in the circulation of two euros, as it has started these days. BQK, the end's legal duty is to do that. And no longer should the problem deepen.
