Attic, who was sworn in today at a solemn session, received 533 votes in the extraordinary 23 April elections as candidate from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks. Serbs, who are majority in 4 northern municipalities, boycotted the elections.
Until Attic carried out his oath procedure as the new chairman today, since the municipality's building is located in the Bosnjak Quarter, inhabited by Bosniaks and Albanians; it is unknown whether the elected (Albanians) mayors in the other three northern municipalities, Leposaviq, Zvecan and Zubin Potok, due to uncertainty.
