On the other side of the government on Wednesday evening, a telephone conversation has been held by US State Department Senior Adviser Derek Chollet, who, among other things, talked about elections in the north and also about implementing the Basic Agreement with Serbia.

The extraordinary elections in the four northern Kosovo municipalities were held on April 23rd this year, following the resignations in November 2022, of the mayors coming from the Serbian List and who had decided to join Serbian voters in boycotting the elections.

This Friday's oath as new chairman before the assemblyists will be made, Erden Attic, who was elected in the April 23rd elections in northern Mitrovica.

And for all preparations for this day, the chairman of this municipality's municipal assembly, Nexhat Uglanin, said they are in the final phase, according to him, even security is on the level.

“We are in finalisation of the task of opening Mr. Erden Attic's inauguration, and today we have consultation with the chairman for finalisation and solemn meeting that will take place on May 19th at 11:00, we are aware of cases that may occur something passage, but we are prepared”, he said.
