According to Selmanaj, through reconciliation for such a declaration, Kosovo enables Serbia to lift state-run judicial responsibility for violent disappearances.
“In agreeing to the declaration of the missing, Kosovo allows Serbia to lift the state-run criminal responsibility for violent disappearances under Article 2 of the UN Convention”, Selmanaj has said.
The LDK MP says removing the sentence “that disappeared by violence” indicates that Kurti is aimed at overcoming rather than addressing crimes.
