According to OSCE estimates, by 2015 there are probably several hundred thousand children who were kidnapped by Ukraine and sent to Russia.
Since 2015, several hundred thousands of minors have been taken from areas occupied in Ukraine and sent to Russia. This statement has come from three experts engaged by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the OSCE. “Looks like there's a plan for children to be assimilated in broad style”, O expert said SBE, Veronica Bilkova in front of the media.
The team of experts also stated that there were “a set (.) violations against rights (.). The exact number is unknown, the lowest estimates affect some 20,000 people. But both Russian and Ukrainian sources give figures that are ten times higher or more. “We really refer to a massive phenomenon”, Bilkova said.
Russia, according to the report, has taken legal and political measures (...) so that some of these children can be given Russian citizenship and their sending into foster care.” These children in Russia are exposed to a prose campaign. According to Kiev's data since Russia's march in Ukraine last year, 2022, more than 19,000 children have been kidnapped in Russia, many of them are in orphanages and nursing families. Russia denies this and claims, meanwhile, that it has tried to protect these children from the horrors of war. / DW
