Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack and said authorities were working to rescue others from the hospital.

Zelensky posted a video of the damaged building showing firemen at the scene and smoke coming out of the building on Twitter.

Only a diabolical state can fight against clinics. There can be no military purpose for that. It's pure Russian terror. Russia has chosen the way of evil by its own will and will not abandon this course itself. We must defeat terror”, he said.

During the night, Russia launched another wave of air strikes against Ukraine overnight, but most rockets and drones collapsed from Ukrainian air defence, Ukrainian military and regional officials said on May 26th.

Alarms of several hours of air strike were heard throughout Ukraine's territory after Kiev and several other regions were subjected to air strikes.

The Russian Army launched 17 rockets and 31 offensive fears produced by Iran in civilian and military targets, but Ukrainian air defence managed to bring down 10 rockets and 23 drones, Ukraine Air Force Command announced on the morning of May 26th.

The damage caused by the collapse of the remains of the blasts were reported at the Obolon and Chevchenkiski counties in Kiev, but Serhiy Popko, head of the capital's military administration, said there were no reports to hurt or victim during the three-hour attack on the capital that began at about 3am.

It was the 13th such attack in the Ukrainian capital this month.

The regions of Harkiwi and Dnepropetrovsk were also targeted by Russian attacks, local officials said.

A man was injured in the Dnepropetrovsk region during what regional Governor Serhiy Lysak called a extremely difficult “nine-nine-nine minutes of Russian attacks that caused considerable damage to civilian infrastructure.

The towns of Merefa and Izzyum in the Harkiwi region suffered damage to the fearful attack, said regional military administration head Oleh Synyehubov.

On battlefields, fighting continued in and around the eastern town of Bahmut, which is the focus of war in eastern Ukraine, the General Staff said in its daily report on May 26th, again rejecting Russia's claims that it had conquered the entire city.

On May 25th, top American officer, General Mark Milley, said Russia would not achieve a military victory in Ukraine, envisioning a difficult “ ” and the bloody “” following, as the Ukrainian Contact Group and countries supporting Kiev in its fight against Russia held a virtual meeting.

This war, military, will not be won by Russia. It just won't happen”, Millie told reporters on May 25th after the meeting.

However, he stated that because of the Russian military's great presence in Ukraine, it is impossible for Kiev to be able to regain its entire territory in the near future.

This means that fighting will continue. They'll be bloody. It's gonna be hard. And in a moment, both sides will either negotiate a solution or reach a military conclusion of”, Milley said.

US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, who also attended the virtual conference, said Ukraine's Western supporters have contributed almost $65 billion to military aid since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022.
