One person has been killed and two others have been injured, as a result of missile attacks on Odessa, the Black Sea port city, officials have said.
The blasts have also been heard at several regional centres -- Winnissia, Kmelnitski and Juitomir.
Kiev's military administration has said preliminary information indicates that all the launch missiles have been destroyed.
This is the ninth time during the month Russia has launched air strikes in the Ukrainian capital.
On Tuesday, Ukraine has said it has crashed six hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, within the framework of “intensive attacks”.
Western officials believe the Ukrainian Army has a considerable state of readiness to launch counteroffensives against Russian forces.
Officials have said Kiev's army now has the capacity to maneuver tanks, combat equipment, have new engineers on the battlefield, can clear territories from mines, build temporary bridges to cross rivers and target long-term license plates.
They have said Russian troops are in a state of unpleasant “”, but have warned that Moscow's defence forces may have put many mines on the front line.
Hence, they claim that the success of an offensive should be measured not only by territorial victories but also if Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced to reconsider the war strategy.
The war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
President Putin calls the war <x0 special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.
The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.
As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes.
