QU INT calls on government to urgently implement Constitutional decision on Decani Monastery

According to QUINT, despite this court decision of seven years and subsequent demands, this has not yet been implemented.
“The functions of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the European Union reiterate the call for the Government of Kosovo to fully and urgently implement the legal registration of the Decani Monastery land. In May 2016, Kosovo's Constitutional Court confirmed ownership of the Decani Monastery on several hectares of land. Despite this judicial decision and subsequent requirements, the Court's decision has not yet been implemented seven years later”, the statement said.
QU The INT said rule of law and respect for judicial independence are obligations for all democraticly elected governments and preconditions necessary for Kosovo's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic institutions, including further progress in Kosovo's application for membership in the Council of Europe.
According to this mission, further delays are only obstacles to the country's progress.
