PDK urges discussions on Croatian model for Serb self-advancing

Insisting the Government of Kosovo that the Serb community's self-advanced should be done according to the Croatian model according to the Democratic Party of Kosovo is a question that requires discussion, especially after the European side statements that the draft state introduced by the former Ekipi Management see as the basis for the creation of association. MP Blerta Deliu-Codra during an interview for Kosovo Press declares [...]

MP Blerta Deliu-Codra during an interview for Kosovo Press states the issue of association under the Croatian model should be discussed because, as it says, they have just opened up. She says she does not know how the format of discussions on this model or other proposals will be summed up.

“This remains to be discussed, because there are only just discussions that have just opened, I don't know how this format of discussions concerning the Croatian proposal will be summed up, or other proposals we've heard little from the prime minister he's come to the Assembly to inform Kosovo's citizens neither about the flow of dialogue nor about the informational topic what the agreement will be... We have a draft of the team that has been fired from this government remains the government to determine what will be the obligation he will receive in the report with a new management team, but I'm saying the draft of the statute already exists and if they have heard Lajcak's statements and other EU officials take it as a model to continue drafting the association statute”, the PDK MP stresses.

Deliu-Codra in an interview for Kosova Preis the dismissal of the Managing Team for drafting the draft association state sees it as attempts to blame past governments.

I've actually only seen it as an attempt or a game of government, because you know that team has worked since Albin Kurt's government took power and for two years has been trying to work there. The prime minister has been able to do so much earlier... so it's only in the phase of his efforts to blame the preliminary governments because they're doing it indefinitely, even though he's not taking his obligations with all the support we've offered him as an opposition party... His attempt to return to the preliminary governments, while Article 10 of the new agreement takes over to implement just those agreements, which he has been opposing for 10 years. We see a desperate attempt by Mr. Kurt's first attempt to violate key principles and prove that he has been cheating for 10 years now and that Albin Kurti in power is seeing to be taking over the commitment to implement all the agreements he has over the years rejected”, she says.

Whether there will be agreement soon on association, according to PDK deputy, remains to be seen by the government's commitment, Kurti.

We're seeing the prime minister, who claims he doesn't know what pressure is already feeling what we've said several times in the past. Whether or not this is going to be seen from the commitment the government will have, of course it will be difficult to see that this agreement will have an end to the fact that our attitude as the PDK we've clarified now and how long the agreement, which has been discussed recently first, will not be comprehensively, there will be no meeting of it, and above all what we've said for the first time that we've given up the recognition at the centre, and this has been concern of”, underline.

MP Deliu-Codra tells Kosovo that with the Ohrid Agreement and giving up recognition at the centre for normalisation of reports with Serbia, there is a setback and degradation in the process.

International delegations have been standing in Kosovo this week, which have met with state leaders. The European Union's special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has remained in Kosovo on Thursday, while also visited the country as well as the administrator of the American Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, who, as urgent, has stressed the need for the creation of Association, while re-exploiting the position of the US that the normalisation process should end with mutual recognition.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has presented the Association draftvision during the meeting he held with Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vuciq, on 2 May in Brussels.

Draft-vision has come in response to a draft status for the Kosovo Serb majority municipalities, which Prime Minister Kurti has refused, saying it is not in line with the Kosovo Constitution.
