PDK calls on Government to create conditions for holding solemn chairmanial sessions in the north

Organising Secretary of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Betim Djoshi today indicated that several days since both mayors from the PDK ranks, to Zvecan and Zubin Potok are facing pressure and humiliation by government officials and segments, specifically, from the Ministry of Management and Local Powers. Joshua [...]

Joci wrote that the two municipalities have called solemn oath-taking sessions, but, according to him, the Minister of Local Power and the officials of this ministry have consistently exerted pressure on changing the date and location for holding sessions.

He has called on the Government to create the necessary conditions, as soon as possible, for holding solemn sessions.

These actions of these officials are not based on any legitimate reason which, we would respect without problem. We have not even had official paperwork regarding these requirements. Therefore, this entire theater is a tendency to underestimate and discourage our mayors, elected in these two municipalities. We call on the Government to create the necessary conditions, as soon as possible, for holding solemn sessions. Above all, we urgently demand that such pressure, completely unnecessary and outside any ethical norm, be stopped immediately. The two mayors from the PDK ranks -- voted to lead the municipalities of Zvecan and Zubin Potok -- are committed to working in good for citizens, indiscriminately. Therefore, any communication with them, we invite Government to do it officially and co-operation, according to the law, will never be lacking.”, Joes wrote on Facebook.
