At the media conference, Osmani initially said that the two chambers of the US Congress have played a key role in building a relationship between Kosovo and the US, and that our country is the most pro-American in the world.
President Osmani before reporters said Kosovo is listed 100 per cent alongside the US, and this has also proved in our actions towards Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, as well as evacuees from Afghanistan, while hoping that Kosovo will soon prove it belongs to NATO alliance.
“Sic said the relationship between Kosovo and the US is not only important but existential. Both convention rooms have played a historic role in building this relationship, and especially the Foreign Relations Committee, which last week held a hearing for the Western Balkans. Kosovo is the main US partner in this region, as has been witnessed in recent measurements by local and international organisations. Kosovo proudly is the pro-American country in the world, and a place where uncompromis are protected by our common values. Our Republic is listed 100 percent with the US and the EU as our support actions against Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, and efforts to evacuate from Afghanistan. Kosovo is always on the side of the United States. We hope this exercise will prove where it belongs in the NATO alliance”, Osmani said, writes Online Reporter.net.
The country's first said that at the meeting with US senators, it has also announced Serbia's long list of their violations of the agreement.
Osmani also said he has reaffirmed them that Kosovo will not evade its obligations and that it will implement all that has been agreed upon and that establishing the Association of Serb-run municipalities to comply with the Kosovo Constitution.
“I expressed the need for increased co-operation with the U.S., as they have so far yielded results in the country beyond borders. I've been looking forward to the integration of Kosovo intoorg. Internationally contributing to peace and stability, as Kosovo's membership in these organizations would be a response to those who want to bring us back in the 1990s. Within the context of the dialogue, I informed them of Serbia's long list of violations, it's not a simple subject of who has the longest list, but it's about peace and stability which has greatly contributed to the security of the region. Hopefully, the Senate's voice will continue to be clear against the Islamic structures that are terrorising Serbian citizens in the north in the country. As for implementing obligations from the recent agreements, as I have always said, Kosovo will not escape its obligations, Kosovo will implement any obligation agreed on as part of this dialogue, as we all know that the agreement says all its provisions are equally important. As you know, the municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo can gather in the Associations to coordinate their work, but all of this in full compliance with the Constitution and the 2015 decision. The constitution envisions the most popular community rights”, Osmani said.
