Republic of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has been on official visit to Montenegro today, where she has participated in the inauguration of the new Montenegrin president. Osmani has from there spoken to the media even concerning dialogue on normalisation of reports with Serbia and the issue of Association.
Osmani has said that Kosovo does not run away from obligations and has reiterated that association should definitely be in line with the Kosovo Constitutional decision of 2015.
We don't leave our obligations. But always repeating that association should definitely be in accordance with the Constitution and in line with the Constitutional Court's decision of 2015 and at no time have any element that could make the state of Kosovo dysfunctional”, she said.
Osmani has further said it will be problematic if EU officials seek one between what Serbia wants and what Kosovo proposes. She says that if elements are taken from what Serbia proposes, then there is always danger of moving towards destabilisation.
The problem is that if EU officials demand that the statute itself be one of the middle of what Serbia wants and what Kosovo proposes, there is always danger in taking elements of Serbia's proposal, there is always danger of moving towards destabilising”, the head of state has said.
