Nagip Krasniqi continues detention for two months

The news has confirmed the spokesperson for the Constitutional Court in Pristina, Mirlinda Gashi.
The Basic Court in Pristina, the Special Department, dated 19.05.2023 has continued the detention measure for defendant N. K, for two more months. The side has the right to appeal to the Appeals Court”, she has said in a written response to Kosovapress.
On April 19th, the Special Prosecutor has arrested KEK chief executive chief Nagip Krasniqi. Krasniqi, according to the Prosecutor, has been arrested because of the suspicion that he committed “The use of official position or authority”, “The exercise of influence” and “Interest conflict”. A day after the arrest, the Constitutional Court in Pristina has assigned the detention measure for Nagip Krasniqi for a month.
Meanwhile, on 25 April the KEK Public Company Board has suspended from chief Nagip Krasniqi's post.
