Montenegro for Kosovo's pro-membership in KiE, Abazovic reports three May in assembly

As the Montenegrin medium “Analitika” reports, part of the ruling parties, who claim the procedures were violated, have reacted sharply because of how the issue has not been discussed at the Montenegrin government's meeting.
A further step was made by the Parliamentary Commission for International Relations, which announced it would request from the Government a report on the reasons and way of making the decision to support the start of the procedure for Kosovo's accession to the KiE.
The Council of Europe Ministerial Committee, which represents 46 member states, at an extraordinary meeting, with more than 2/3 of the votes just as it made the decision to submit the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to the Republic of Kosovo for membership.
With that decision, Kosovo has passed its first membership stage on the Council of Europe.
It was announced by Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla, who called it a historic and most important step after the country's independence.
The Council of Europe Ministerial Committee, which represents the 46 member states, at an extraordinary meeting, with more than 2/3 of the vote once it made the decision to submit the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to the Republic of Kosovo membership. For our new country, today's decision is a historic step, perhaps the most important one behind our independence. With this decision closed an important milestone towards full membership”, she said.
Kosovo had submitted its application to the KiE on 12 May last year.
