Launch “Defender Europe”, named historical exercise for KSF

Today in “Square Skenderbeu”, in Pristina during the ceremony, Osmani has declared that this exercise is historical in many ways, especially for the newest army on the European continent, for our security force.

It has suggested that together the country is stronger against the forces that seek to divide us.

In this international exercise you are beside armies from nations and states, yet you stand under a single cause, the common cause to strengthen co-operation and enhance interoperability between Allied forces. This international exercise is a symbol of our collective determination to maintain peace and stability in a world that is constantly being challenged. It's a reminder that our strength lies not only in the power of our weapons but in the connections we create, in the alliances that we build. Together we are stronger against the forces that seek to divide us by testifying that our unity and cooperation are the key to a more secure and peaceful future. The main goal is to demonstrate US military capacity and wars and Allied forces against potential aggressors and to ensure European allies and partners that the continent is safe from possible attacks. This exercise is historical in many ways, especially for the newest army on the European continent, our security force”, Osmani said.

President Osmani added that the ceremony is being held precisely on the historical figure of “Skenderbeut”, which is a hero not only for Kosovo but also for Europe. Meanwhile, he also mentioned the September of former president Ibrahim Rugova, whom he called the historic leader of leadership for freedom and independence.

Among other things, Osmani said Defender Europe 2023, coincides with the 24th anniversary of Kosovo's liberation.

The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, has stressed that the exercise “Defender Europe 2023x1> is the largest military training event ever to take place in Kosovo.

Kurti also said that European continent security is the vital interest of the government, as a state that believes in what it loves, human rights and rule of law, peace and democracy.

Defence Minister Armend Mehaj said the Republic of Kosovo will have over 1300 military and will be the fourth country with the most military participants.

Hüvenier said this is the biggest and most ambitious company the KSF has undertaken so far.

“We are very grateful to see The KSF as the largest contributor to the region, with over 1,300 military members participating in this exercise...25:29 in less than 4 years since the establishment of KSF, we have been impressed and happy with the KSF's progress and with the high appreciation for its professional work”, Hovenier said.

Hovenier has also praised the KSF's rapid response during the earthquake in Albania and Turkey.

Meanwhile, after the ceremony, citizens have had the opportunity to look closely at some of the country's units, equipment and vehicles.

They express happiness in the achievements of the KSF.

Hafiz Ismaili, who has come to see the army and the tools, is proud of the KSF.

Unlike past years, Kosovo will have triple the number of soldiers participating in exercises led by the United States.

Part of the “Defender Europe ê23” are 25 NATO countries with over 22 thousand military troops. /Kp
