LVV Parliamentary Group chief Mimoza Kusari-Lila said the opposition should be unified with the government on the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue issue, while the AAK and LDK say the majority should work on resolving citizens' problems as they have a majority in the assembly.
For months, a part of the opposition in Kosovo has asked the government to resign since, according to her, it is not working to solve citizens' problems. Pal Lekaj from the AAK thinks the government has failed in capital and strategic investments, and according to him has blocked about 700m euros in the state budget.
” I think that the government should go to the elections for two reasons, if we take it for capital investments that is the weakest government in the history of public money savings with all these demands that are énormies for capital investments, and the government somewhere has collected 700m euros and not to talk about strategic investments that we have at all additional subventions”, Pal Lekaj said.
The request for the resignation has also extended the Democratic Party. But unlike two other parties, the Democratic League says it is not time for elections, but has urged the government to support citizens
” It is very important that democratic election cycles are recorded in democracy, we are not currently at a time of elections because we have a party that has a consistent majority and is obligated to produce the best solutions for Kosovo and its citizens”, said Jehona Lusshak Sadriu from the LDK.
The opposition has responded to LVV Parliamentary Group chief Mimoza Kusari Lila, who thinks we need political unification in the country.
” I don't believe that the country can go to the elections in September because there are many obligations which are not only related to dialogue, but also the fact that we have a mandate that I have no doubt that there will be a full mandate of the Savings and this position, in terms of opposition statements I think it would be better to focus on constructive co-operation in relation to other topics, but also a common position in terms of dialogue<1>, Kusari said.
The Guxo list, a coalition party with Vetevendosje, has given the opposition advice.
The elections will be in spring 2025, until then I give the opposition advice to prepare to submit programming and not take too much of what he said but to show what they have done for this country and what this government is doing at the end of the” mandate, Hagi Avdyli from the Gexo List said.
Early parliamentary elections in Kosovo were held in February 2021, and Vetevendosje managed to get over 50 per cent of the vote. Currently, the opposition in the Kosovo Assembly has about 42 seats in Parliament. /21Media
