The official will meet with the president, Aleksandar Vucic, who will discuss the next steps in implementing the agreement on normalisation of relations and its annex.
However, the draft status quo for the formation of association, presented by the management team in Brussels on May 2nd, is expected to be on the table with Belgrade, which insists on taking it to base.
After the meeting, Vucic will hold a press conference, while it is unknown whether Lajcak will speak or not.
In Belgrade, the EU mediator will also meet with Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkovic as preparations for the meeting with Kosovo counterpart Besnik Bislimi, who is scheduled to be held 15 May in Brussels.
