The AP is reporting that Power's visit is being made with “the goal of reducing tensions between Kosovo and Serbia”.

Power becomes the first head of the American Agency for International Development to travel to Serbia.

It “will underline USAID's support for Serbia's path towards membership in the European Union through partnership, promoting economic growth and democratic development”, U saidAID in a statement.

Power will also meet in Kosovo and Serbia with members of civil society, business leaders, journalists and others.
