They will also be joined by foreign affairs ministers from the six Western Balkan countries.
According to reports from the European Union, the main topics that will be on the agenda are the process of normalising reports between Kosovo and Serbia, the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regional co-operation and Russia's influence in the Western Balkan region.
The European Union is expected to repeat once again its commitment to continue helping the region, but also to seek from these countries to fulfil the commitments made to implement reforms and adapt to European Union foreign policy.
So far, all countries in the region, except for Serbia, have supported European Union sanctions against Russia. Moreover, in the last year, Serbia's adaptation to EU positions in foreign policy has diminished even more.
The European Union has also expressed concern over threats heard in Bosnia and Herzegovina about jeopardising the territorial integrity of this country. Such calls continue to come from Bosnia and Herzegovina Serb leader Milorad Dodik.
As for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, it is expected that even this meeting will repeat the call for progress in the process of normalising reports and implementing all obligations the parties have taken over in the process.
Following instructions that the leaders of the EU and the Western Balkans have given from the Burdo summits in 2021 and Tirana in 2022, the European Union has assisted partners to develop their capacities to cope with hybrid threats, namely cyber ones and with manipulation campaigns and external interventions.
The EU has also included countries in the region in joint plans to prevent terrorist acts.
All of these will also be topics the EU ministers and their colleagues from the Western Balkans will discuss at their joint meeting. /Rel
