Serbia is entering a phase of political instability that has just begun and will not stop, but it is very difficult to say which direction it will take next, says Zarko Koraz, psychologist and former Serbian Government Vice President of Zoran Djindjic's Cabinet. He is convinced that Vuciq has no intention of accepting and implementing the Ohrid Agreement.
According to him, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucinic is losing control.
This nervousness that Vuciq is showing is not only because of these monstrous crimes in Serbia, but also because he is running out of time about the Kosovo problem. He has already received a warning: an article in the New York Times, which is an independent, intellectual, liberal and most influential American newspaper outside the United States. It means he received a warning that they are aware of what he is doing and nervous is great: he has the Kosovo problem, the loss of control over what is happening in the country, crimes, of course and third, he has a very bad economic situation in the country”, Korac says in an interview for The Geopost.
“The biggest meeting in history” Vuciq warned of May 26th, according to him, is a sign that the Serbian president was afraid of losing power.
First of all, with this gathering, which is a sad one, it is renewing the tradition of Slobodan Milosevic, who had those big rallies. One of them was in Usce when writer Vittovic said the people happened, and this is the second time people happened. It hasn't worked then and it won't work now”, he adds.
Korac also estimates that no one checked Serbs in Kosovo as much as Vuciq.
Perhaps Milosevic at the beginning of his rule, but this was another situation. Kosovo was not declared independent then, it was technically still part of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia”, Korac says.
He believes Vuciq has made a cardinal mistake by blackmailing the West and Pristina by drawing Serbs from all institutions.
The “The Serbs were in government, parliament, mayors... He caused a major crisis, thinking that the West would present a fact conducted and that the West would force Kurt's association of Serbian municipalities to see him as he wanted it to be, and not perhaps how Kurti” would have done it, he believes.
Korac is convinced that Vuciq has no intention of accepting and implementing the Ohrid Agreement.
“Vucciq has no intention of implementing the Ohrid Agreement, for any solution to the Kosovo issue is lost in the eyes of his voters. And he thinks only of his voters. Vuciq holds so-called group focus twice a day, this is unique. I haven't heard anyone do this, he looks up both in the morning and in the afternoon to examine his political faithful and I know he will lose with any solution to the Kosovo issue”, Korac points out.
He adds that Serbia has lost the Russian card, and Vucic put it on.
He doesn't really have any political support. Paradoxically, it is still mostly supported by the United States and part of Europe, waiting for it to make a rational move, which means finally making some sort of agreement with Kurti. And the West, I'm missing the right word, we in psychology have a term of formation that they're constantly trying to form, in Serbian they'd say "nutkau gaú" (excessively), in my opinion without results of”, he adds.
Korac concludes that we are not a priority region for either the West or Europe.
The most important thing for the West at this moment is not to have armed conflict, and this is an extremely low expectations from the region”, Korac concludes. /Kosovo priss
