This is one of the reasons why the ZERE has been fined KEK with 3.2m euros.

According to the ZERR Monitoring Report on KEK for 2022, in December 2018 KEK had opened tenders for the qualifications for procurement activity with what was signed framework contracts with several international companies.

Of the eight companies that had signed the contracts, only one had no license, the Slovenian company Helding Sloveneske Electrice.

The ZERE says it had reacted several times through official email and official letter to KEK, demanding that it cease its trade of energy with unlicensed companies, but according to the report, KEK has continued to do so.

“Per m pr pme tep, Z THREE 1908.2022, has monitored the process of commercialing electricity to real time, and has noted that despite all the claims and demands. Z THREE for halting power trading with unlicensed electricity, KEK still carries out the activity of electricity trading incompatible with legal obligations” reportedly in the report.

In this report Z. The RRE has found KEK trading electricity with unlicensed companies violated the Energy Law, as well as the Law on Energy Regulatory.

“KEK has demanded energy from Albania even when there has been no need for”

In addition, in the Kosovo Energy Regulatory Office Monitoring Report (ZRRE) to the Energy Corporation, KEK reportedly sought electricity from Albania's Energy Corps (KESH), even when there was no need.

In 2015, the agreement for exchange/depositation of electricity was signed between KESH and KEK, which according to the report was amended in 2018 and is applied until the establishment of the Albanian Energy Stock Exchange.

This deal, according to Z. The RRE includes targets, technicalities, electrical and other power storage coefytors. The agreement, among other things, defines mutual assistance in the event of emergency situations.

The Regulatory Office has analysed electricity data between KEK and KESH and found that during 2021 KEK has exported electricity in the form of exchange in February alone, worth 706MWh, while importing electricity in the form of 7.035 exchange. MWh.

And during 2022, for January June, electricity has been exported in the form of a exchange of 171,272 MWh, while importing energy in the form of a value exchange of 69,269 MWh.

According to analysis data, Z. The RRE has found that KEK during the monitoring period has only exported electricity surpluses in the form of exchange, while it has imported electricity according to necessary KEK demands, Kalxo reports. com

“KEK has demanded energy from KESH even when there has been no need for the FSHU and the energy accepted by KESH has offered it on the free market. Such an action conflicts with the agreement on exchange/depositing electricity with KESH” said in the ZER report.

The Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) at the meeting held on Friday, May 5, 2023, has imposed fines on the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) and on the Kosovo Broadcasting System Operator and Market (KOSTT). The announcement becomes known that Z. RISK has fined it 3.2m euros, while COSTT is 439 thousand euros.
