Gunshots fired in Pristina, several persons arrested

Police are on the scene and report no injured persons.

Flora Ahmeti has indicated that four people have been arrested.

Around 18:30, police have received information for gun shooting on the “Gazmend Zaymi” street in Pristina.

Immediately after receiving the information, police have come to the scene and undertaken all necessary actions consisting of investigating the circumstances that characterise the event.

Based on initial information, no injured persons are reported.

In this case, police officers from north stations and the centre have managed to stop a suspected vehicle and locate an AK-47 weapon, which one suspect has thrown into the trash.

So far, four people allegedly involved at the police station have been escorted to the station.

Currently police investigators in co-ordination with the state prosecutor are taking the necessary actions to clear the case.
