He's answering questions from the Special Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) for the second day in a row.
Under protective measures, and at the private hearing, the witness holding the 4748 code has given a piece of his testimony Wednesday as well. The same has been true of three other prosecution witnesses in this trial, where their testimony is not being heard by the public.
While prior to his arrival at the courtroom, court disgrace has brought down Jakup Krasniqi's defense request for the translation of SPS preliminary notes.
Charles L Smtyh has said that the order to conduct procedures does not require that the prosecution give translation of the feasibility notes.
The trial body is of the opinion that there is no injustice and that seems to be in line with the practice of other tribunals, especially TPNJ. Krasniqi's defense request for translation of these notes is therefore rejected”, chief judge Smith has said.
He has said the purpose of these notes is to have the defence announced for any clarification, change or correction made by the witness in previous statements, and the reasons for these changes.
According to him, the corresponding parts of these notes can be translated or interpreted by protection. After that, at the request of the SPS, the interview of the fourth witness has continued closed to the public.
Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, for whom the prosecution claims they committed war crimes, are participating in the courtroom at Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
They are being tried after a preliminary procedure that has lasted more than two years. During all this time, former President Thaci, former Prime Minister Krasniqi and Veselini, as well as former delegation Selimi, are staying in custody in The Hague, while in their appearances before the tribunal they are declared innocent.
