EU rule of visa liberalisation goes into effect, Kosovars now have to wait 1 January 2024

All steps for visa liberalisation have been made for Kosovo.

The EPIK Institute announced that EU regulation 2023/50, which enables visa liberalisation for Kosovo, is in force today.

Now, it's just expected January 1st of 2024 that Kosovars can move freely into the Schengen area.

With the publication of the visa liberalisation decision in the EU Official Journal in April, the entire visa liberalisation process for Kosovo citizens was also formally completed.
