According to the first investigation data, the three victims -- two men aged 32 and 40 -- and a 30-year-old woman -- were allegedly killed by an avalanche. This is the assessment of Valais' public prosecutor and Berna police.
Their bodies were found Sunday morning in the Jezi glacier in the Blattern community. The search for them had started Saturday afternoon with helicopter support, since climbers had given no signs of life since Friday.
The case is being investigated by the Valais Canton's Interior Ministry.
