I had contact with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti again this morning and with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq at night. I asked both sides to urgently take steps to reduce tensions immediately and unconditionally. And any further unilateral action must be avoided and calm restored.
As a first step, I expect Kosovo authorities to suspend police operations with a focus on municipal buildings in northern Kosovo and violent protesters to withdraw. I will continue to engage with the two leaders”, said the response of Josep Borrell and the EU.
