After blocking them, Kurti now says municipalities will have 200m euros more during 2024

Kurti, during his speech, said that for the first time at the meeting, mayors of the northern municipalities are also attending, while adding that there are mostly citizens' representatives on these meetings, the Telegrafi broadcast.
“The central and local co-ordinating tasks are meetings where there are mostly citizens' representatives, and therefore the topics discussed are useful and focus on improving citizens' lives”, he stressed.
The prime minister added further that the good news is that the budget for municipalities for 2024 has increased.
The general municipal budget amounts to 742m euros, 200m euros more for municipalities during this government, than in previous governments”, he said.
Kurti said local governance has central attention, but also finances that are expected to be concrete among their co-operation.
