Lekaj-Plaxaj in an interview on the interactive “show” of KTV, has said this model will be more infertile for the state of Kosovo.
“In Croatia, after 1995 an agreement that recognises minority rights -- including Serb rights -- has been arranged with Croatia's constitutional Law. Other minority associations are culture-related associations, the preservation of their identity and tradition, while the Serbian Associations are at a higher level and it's highly applicable this part and I think it's much more invisibility for the state of Kosovo if this part of the Associations is accepted as envisioned in the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Croatia”, has stressed Lekaj-Forcej, adding that he thinks the Croatian model for minorities should apply to Kosovo as well.
According to her and Kosovo, as Croatia could impose the Croatian model for minorities.
Croatia has been a sovereign state, such as Kosovo, Croatia has the same Constitution as Kosovo, I believe Kosovo will have the constitutional law for minorities as Croatia does, so all of these will be described and protected as constitutional rights”, Lekaj-Plascaj stressed.
The Croatian Parliament MP has stressed that Croatia is one of the biggest lobbyists for Kosovo and that Kosovo is standing on the right path in terms of relations with Croatia.
She has said that currently relations between Kosovo and Croatia at the political level are good. Lekaj-Plasskaya has said he hopes even economic relations will improve.
She has also talked about reports of involvement in a financial scandal by Kosovo Ambassador to Croatia Martin Berishaaj.
She has said Berisha has done his job very well and that the Croatian state has better co-operation with it and with all Kosovo institutions, including Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Lekaj-Plaskaj has said that no one in Croatia handles media reports about Berisha and the opposition demands in Kosovo that he be dismissed.
In Croatia this topic is not discussed or debated anywhere, so I can only say that the ambassador does a very good job and that he is the dignified ambassador who does his job. What is written in the Kosovo media and what is declared in Kosovo's opposition, really no one here handles this”, the Croatian Parliament MP has declared.
