Kosovo's former negotiator for talks with Serbia, Edita Tahiri, has commented on recent political developments in the country and on Kosovo and Serbia's goals for association.
Tahiri has written on Facebook that the draft Association of Serb majority municipalities that, according to her, is secretly being drafted, will have to go to the Constitutional Court before the prime minister's meeting, Albin Kurti with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, in Brussels on 2 May.
She has said the government dares not make association with executive competencies, since it is contrary to the Constitution.
Meanwhile, for the boycott of municipal elections in the north by Serbs, according to Tahiri, it is orchestrated by Vuciq and aims to be given the Association with executive competence.
“Serbia's North Election Boyot orchestrated by Vuci has the goal of giving association executive competence, but Kurti Government can't do this because it is in opposition to the Constitution of Kosovo. Therefore, the draft Association statute (which is secretly being drafted) must go to the Constitutional Court before I go to Kurt's meeting with Vucici on 2 May.She wrote.
