The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, has indicated that the first and fundamental obligation in dialogue is to form the Association of Serbian Communities.
Petkov has declared that they have fulfilled all obligations and that 10 years of waiting for the creation of AKS.
When you see what Pristina is actually doing, it is evident that they do not want dialogue, they do not want peace, they do not want to agree to anything. They insist on causing any inadequate reaction from Serbs with their unilateral movements”, Petkovic claims.
In an interview for the Serbian newspaper “Blic”, Petkovic spoke of meeting with Serb representatives, the problem with the license plates, but also of further steps when it comes to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
“Kurt won't form Association, doesn't want it. They say every day that the AKS should be in line with Kosovo's constitution, that it should not have executive competencies. Bislem now mentions in public some five criteria, which were not even discussed. Thus, Kurt did not speak of any criteria. In the 2013 and 2015 agreements, the criteria for what the community should look like are, what its competencies, the essential competencies, what is the aim of the community, what is its structure, how will work. Serbia has the right to finance the Association, this is defined at the point of 16X1> general principles, Petkovic stressed.
