“Uy consists of half the weight of our bodies, so staying hydrated is essential to health”, says Dr Emily Lieming, ZOE nutrition scientist, a research program based on Kings College in London. She said: “Rule eight glasses a day is not based on any scientific evidence. In general, our bodies tell us whether we should drink more or not”.

Our need for hydration is personal, Leeming says. Plus, they vary from day to day, depending on factors such as temperature and training. The sense of thirst decreases in older people, increasing the risk of dehydration.

But what about specific superpowers who claim to have water?

“Even slight dehydration can temporarily affect your brain, making it more difficult to focus and solve problems. You can see if you need to drink more water by filling your thirst and by looking at the color of your urine. When your body is hydrated, it should look like pale lemonade. If it looks like concentrated apple juice, then drink more. ”

However, hydration is not a <x0jue or nothing”: “Uji, tea, coffee contributes to the body's fluid supply. ”

A diet that is good for your health is good for your skin, so drinking in sufficient amounts of water will benefit your skin,” says Dr Anjali Mahto, consultant and dermatologist. However: “That doesn't mean you have to drink extra amounts. ”

“Dehydration is one of the most common causes of the chapter”, says Leeming. “The water in the intestine pulls back to hydrated the body, leading to constipation. ”

So make sure that you drink enough water. Even if you drink more water than you should, it won't give any intestines any sneer, it will simply remove excess more quickly.
