Vuciq hints that “some” of the five EU can move towards recognition of Kosovo

The Base Agreement for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which enjoys the support of the twenty-seven European Union member states, has raised questions on the Serbian local scene whether there can be a shake of the positions of five non-recognitional states towards Kosovo within the union, respectively, Spain, Greece, Romania, Cyprus and Slovakia. [...]
Asked about this, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said that “some of these five countries have never been far from knowing Kosovo's independence”, but that “so long has been”. But, such a thing, he said, “is nowhere written” while accusing the Serb opposition about like this as “one of the many lies”.
We remember that the issue of the five non-recognitional countries has long been combined with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process, where some of these countries have suspended the decision until an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is reached.
Recently, Greece has been frequenting visits to Pristina for what it has even been interpreted as the closest potential recognition of the state of Kosovo, while the most categories continue to be Spain and Cyprus.
