Many of the clinics at the University Clinical Center work with incomplete or halved capacity in connection with interventions as a result of a lack of anesthesiologists. All clinics at QKUK function with only 45 anesthesiologists. While to function properly and to carry out all interventions, QKUK needs 100 to 120 anesthesiologists. But in recent years the number of anesthesiologists who have abandoned QKUK has grown, as a result of conditions in this center.
As a result of the low number of anesthesiologists in many clinics, there are few halls that are available for intervention. There are complaints every day from patients who have to wait long for surgery at KKUK.
A source inside QKUK has told “Index” that the number of anesthesiologists is very small, compared to the demands KKUK has. Meanwhile, it says that the number of surgeons is much greater than the need at KKUK, and many surgeons do not even know what to do during the day, since there is no job for all those surgeons. And for this situation he's been at QKUK today, he blames the planning that has been done at QKUK for 24 years now.
There are very few anesthesiologists. An anesthesiologist with smu, the hall comes down from function, and many medical procedures at KKUK can't be carried out. There's a whole system in the clinic. Within the week, 15 halls may fall even when anesthesiologists do not stop, not to talk to someone on an annual vacation ten days, 40 patients fall. There's a replacement, so there's no substitute for anesthesiologists. All those who have been in the health system for 24 years now have planned nothing and that the situation has come to this point. There is a great shortage of anesthesiologists and neonatologists. The surgeon in KKUK has more than he needs. There are many surgeons who don't know what to do during the day. They've admitted surgeons over. More is accepted than clinic needs. Meanwhile, there are far fewer anesthesiologists than real needs and demands”, he said.
Meanwhile, a five - day work is done at the Maxilophacial Surgery Clinic for just three days because there are no high - labor anesthesiologists. And that this situation according to him will continue and at least for the next three years.
“Minnimum and in the next three years will be lacking, because anesthesiologists are not interested in working at QKU with 1260 euros, as private clinics are paid 4 to 5 thousand euros. All the Government has to do is work so at least they can keep these anesthesiologists at KKUU who are now. Because it's not about returning anesthesiologists who have left the CKUK, since they are working private under much better conditions”, he said.
