(3 years ago)Kosovo police, the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, have conducted an operation in the Pec region, where ten business subjects of which there was reasonable suspicion that the same businesses are selling pharmaceutical products without banners, and the same products are allegedly smuggled and [...]
Police have said this operation has been co-ordinated together with the Kosovo Customs (Anthontrabanda Unit) and pharmaceutical inspectors from the Ministry of Health.
Ten drugstores have been checked where a considerable quantity of non-grobal pharmaceutical products have been found in six of them.
Business 1 in three units has been found: 398 types of unregistered drugs, 40 pieces of counterfeit banners, a narcotic product without license. The same business has been issued the decision by pharmaceutical inspectors to close the business after working without the pharmacist responsible;
Business 2, in two entities have been found: 203 types of medicine without banners;
Business 3, in one unit have been found: 80 types of medicine without banners;
Three owners of businesses-barnators have been escorted to the Police Station and interviewed in the quality of suspects related to alleged criminal acts higher.
Some drugstores are the same owners of some drugstores in the city of Peja.
The amount of drugs that are suspected of smuggling has been confiscated, with procedures that will then be taken further by the Antiiontrabandra unit by Kosovo Customs, while the Economic Crimes Investigation Sector (SHKE-DHKEK) by Kosovo Police prosecutes the subject in criminal terms near the competent Prosecution.
After interviewing the suspected persons by order of the Prosecutorial Prosecutor in Pec have been released in regular procedure, while cases are initiated for “production and distribution of harmful medical products” and “Cargo smuggling”. /Periksopi/
