Serbia warns recognition of Kosovo by Greece

The one on Serbian television K1 has explained that the reality is that the five EU member states that did not recognise Kosovo will make the decision in line with their interests and in line with their state policy and added that it is possible to achieve one, perhaps two recognitions, reports “Tanjug”.

Mijacic stressed that it would not be surprising if Greece recognises Kosovo in a once future, given good diplomatic relations with the Kosovar side, and added that Slovakia and Romania are still in balance, the Klankosova broadcast.tv.

He believes Spain and Cyprus will not recognise Kosovo at this moment, but will not even prevent Kosovo's membership in international organisations.

There is no territorial character. It's about 10 municipalities, four are concentrated in the north, six are in the south, and the basic idea in 2013 and 2015 is that these municipalities can jointly carry out some of the responsibilities, act jointly in certain areas, education, health. There are also various models that include a kind of territorial autonomy for the north and a kind of cultural autonomy for all areas where Serbs live, but these modalities have not yet been negotiated. When Kurti declares what he said yesterday in parliament, it means that he from a stubborn position does not want to accept the formation of association, now he does not want to form any territorial integrity of municipalities in northern Kosovo”, he said.

Mijacic adds that it is a process that will be carried out in the form of dialogue and that Kurti's statements, which go in different directions, do not mean that in the end Serbs will not receive that territorial autonomy, at least for the four municipalities in northern Kosovo.

According to him, different steps are needed to achieve different results, but there is a great interdependence between the steps.
