“at the same time, Greece, in addition to its well-known position on Kosovo's status and loyal to its policy in the Western Balkans, follows a pragmatic and constructive approach in relation to Kosovo, which aims to strengthen stability, as well as an overall movement towards EU integration of the entire region, which is our strategic goal”, she told the Serbian newspaper “Politicos<3>.
Among other things, the Greek president stressed that “the integration of the Western Balkan region into the EU is a constructive investment of strategic nature, both for EU member states and for Western Balkan partners”.
This is the position Greece has constantly defended and promoted for decades. The EU is not complete without the Western Balkans”, Sakellaropoulos said, broadcasting Klankosova.tv.
Greece is among the five European Union countries that have not yet recognised Kosovo's independence.
The Greek head of state will pay an official visit to Serbia from 27 March to 29 March and will be received by the president of this country, Aleksandar Vuciq, the Serbian head of state's office, announced.
