Two planes nearly crashed in Kosovo, 300 passengers risked

300 passengers risked their lives in Kosovo's airspace, on February 24th of this year, when the planes on which they were travelling were crashing down. Around 15:30 in space over Gjakova's Ramoc on the date mentioned above, Pristina line plane -Malmo operator “Trade Air”, for a little while [...]

Around 15:30 in space over Gjakova's Ramoc on the date mentioned above, Pristina line plane -Malmo of the operator “Trade Air”, almost crashed into the airline plane coming from Dusseldorf, operated by the Bulgarian company “GP Aviation”.

“Kiks Kosova” reports that the Agency for Air Navigation Service had not noticed that the two planes were heading towards the crash.

But they understood this from a call from “Alb Control of Albania”, which alarmed colleagues from Kosovo that something was wrong with the “line planes. GP Aviation” from Bulgaria and “Trade Air” from Croatia.

Intrigued before this fact, controllers who had not noticed that the planes were walking in the same trailer were delayed and did not respond.

But the accident was fortunately avoided by radar systems inside the plane, T The CAS, which is activated only in the event the planes go towards the crash.

This alarm system has three reports, a long distance of 1,000 feet (304.8 m), the second at 800 slices (243.84 m), and the last, which was actually lit on this occasion and started only on the most dangerous scale near the crash - that is, when planes are at a distance of 600 feet (182.88 m), reports Klan Kosova.

Despite the chaos caused on Friday afternoon of February 24th, Tower workers in Pristina were silent.

According to Kiks, the case was tried to conceal, for the fact that that that night at the tower as a controller was the son of a former KLA commander from the Lapi area, considered strong inside A. The USNA, since it is also the grandson of a current PDK deputy.

AShNA has forbidden two auditors A. S. and F.L., exercising their duties as controllers, until the outcome of the investigation of this incident.

Kiksi has contacted Civil Aviation Director Bujar Ejupi on the matter, which has confirmed the case, stressing that he understood the incident three days after the case.

The Commission for Investigation of Accidents and Aeronautic Incidents has already launched investigations into the case.

Kiks Kosovo has secured the decision, which imposes aviation institutions to secure all facts to investigate the case. The decision reportedly has sufficient grounds to launch investigation into the fact that civil aviation security has been jeopardised.

The decision went into effect on the day of signing, March 17th, 2023.
