And on that working visit, the head of Kosovo executive has met with counterpart Edi Rama.
Kurti has informed Albania's prime minister in detail of the Ohrid Agreement and has shown him how Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has refused to sign that agreement, despite the fact that the status of association in part of the implementation of Kosovo agreements reached over years in Brussels.
The prime minister's office has also come out with communiqués for the contents of the meeting.
“Prime Minister Kurti announced Prime Minister Rama's dynamics for the meeting, the creative proposals of the Kosovo negotiating delegation, and for his constructive approach to the Government of Kosovo during the entire process that has preceded the” agreement, it says, among other things.
“Speaking about the development of the talks, he also informed Prime Minister Rama of Serbia's refusal to draft the statute for implementation of Article 7 of the Base Agreement on the basis of three pillars referring to the Constitutional Court of December 2015, the letter of the former EU High Representative Federica Moghrini of August 2015, and the American stance designed by the senior adviser to the American Department, Cholles and the American Minister Escabar 2023, and the signing of the Brussels Constitutional Agreement itself, as well as the <1st).
The “during the meeting was also discussed on very specific, close and close relations between the two republics and the co-operation of the two governments. On this occasion, it was agreed that the ninth joint meeting of the two governments will be held in June, this time in Albania”, the communiqué concludes.
Kurti in Albania has met with the heads of institutions, as well as former president Ilir Meta, but not the Democratic Party (PD), which is the main opposition force in Albania.
This has not escaped journalists who asked Kurt why he has avoided a meeting with the opposition.
But Kurt had no direct answers, except that he did not rule out the possibility that there would be meetings with the opposition..
