The CEC has also opened deadlines for subjects interested in competing for chairmanship in northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Zvecan Leposaviq, as well as for assemblies in Zvecan and Leposaviq.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, in eyes 7 in Klan Kosova, said 11 candidates for mayor and 63 for the assembly have been certified so far and that they expect further applications.
Meanwhile, during Thursday, the Serbian List announced the boycott in this election process.
“The CEC, like any other time, remains committed to meeting constitutional and legal obligations for organising these elections. It is in the free will of political subjects to participate in an election process”, Elez said.
This election of the CEC will cost around 497 thousand euros from 556 thousand, as planned during last year's election process.
We remember that these April 23rd elections were originally scheduled to be held on December 18th, but the country's president, in co-ordination with political subjects, has postponed them to April.
