On March 21st, it has been four months since the Ministry of Education has made a decision to cut off the collective contract with the education sector, but four months after silence continues.
Although the letter sent in November 2022 to the United Education Union had suggested that this contract signed in 2021 had no legitimacy after being signed 30 days after the Constitutional decision, which sent the country to elections, this minister has not returned to television what will happen further with this sector.
Answering it has not even taken the signature side of the United Education Union itself, who say the way this contract is cut is illegal.
“We have proposed to the Ministry of Education that the commission be formed for reconciliation, that we have formed that commission and sent it to the Ministry of Education after we have responded to their decision, but the Ministry of Education has given us no answer, that let it be seen that the collective contract that has been cut off from the Ministry of Education is”, said Vjollca Shala deputy head of the SBASK.
That this secession cannot be made only by one side, and they say by the Union of Independent Unions of Kosovo.
Just to prevent these issues, At and Hykoli says they are working on Kosovo's overall collective agreement.
“We don't have separate sectoral agreements because all partners have to agree, while the general collective agreement is the national agreement at the level of Kosovo, we are the only country in the region and in Europe that does not have this agreement. This agreement builds the form of employees in Kosovo”, At and Hykoli-United Independent Unions of Kosovo said.
The subservative contract was promised by the first executive, Albin Kurti, in November 2022.
The Kolektive contract provided education workers with coverage of travel spending for teaching, Jubilar rewards, satisfaction compensation and other benefits.
